Mark is the Vice President of SERVPRO of Calgary South. Mark has been in various roles in Sales and Management since the early 1990s and joined the SERVPRO family as Vice President of Business Development in 2006. He worked closely with Fred Edwards to grow the SERVPRO Cleaning brand in Calgary and eventually Edmonton. When a new partnership was formed with the American disaster restoration franchise system, SERVPRO Industries, Inc., In 2010 Mark was tasked with the challenge of opening the first SERVPRO franchise in Canada, SERVPRO of Edmonton Southside. In 2013 the second location, SERVPRO of Calgary South, opened giving Mark the opportunity to move his family back to Calgary and oversee both Alberta branches.
Rick Templeman is SERVPRO of Calgary South's General Manager. He has over 25 years in the Insurance Industry and another 14 years of experience with Disaster Restoration. He has extensive experience in property damage/fire investigation, restoration and management/project management and considerable experience in catastrophe response. Rick works hard to maintain a culture of entrepreneurship as the company grows. Rick provides his Project Managers with a voice that is heard and empowers his team to take initiatives within their roles. Rick is a leader who celebrates his teams' victories.
Mike has over 12 years of experience in cleaning and restoration. He began by cleaning carpets throughout his school years, and has since moved over to the restoration industry, starting as a Crew Chief in Edmonton then becoming a Project Manager, and eventually taking that role back to the Calgary franchise. He has obtained numerous certificates along the way, supplementing his experience with education. Mike was vital in helping to mitigate losses during the 2013 Calgary floods, as well as the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfire. Mike is now the Director of Operations for Alberta and oversees both the Edmonton and Calgary SERVPRO franchises.
Scott, one of our Project Managers, has over 35 years of experience in dealing with every level of property restoration and general construction, (residential, commercial, institutional, industrial and agricultural). There isn’t anything in the industry that Scott can’t handle. Scott has managed numerous large projects and lead teams of hundreds of people in CAT situations. Working in three provinces throughout his career, has helped Scott become proficient in the different techniques and challenges associated with inter-provincial codes and regulations
Denise is all about the details! She has 20 years of experience in the restoration industry, specializing in content cleaning and restoring. She started with SERVPRO of Calgary South in May of 2014 as Content Manager and moved up into the Production Supervisor role in 2017. In 2019 Denise was promoted to Production Manager and has embraced and excelled at all the challenges she has faced so far
Mark, our Construction Manager, has 35 years of experience as a carpenter/builder in all aspects of construction from renovations to new homes to commercial and industrial buildings. He also has nearly a decade in the restoration industry working as carpenter, project manager and construction manager, so he is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to building systems, structures and envelopes. Mark has been Involved in mitigation and rebuild of major catastrophes (CAT’s) in both the 2013 floods in Southern Alberta and the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires.
Alex, our Construction Coordinator, is an accomplished project coordinator with more than four years of expertise in project management, construction management and contract management. He has a proven track record of success working on large-scale commercial and residential construction projects. His strong suits include negotiating and administering contracts, managing budgets and working with project stakeholders to accomplish all requirements on-time and on-budget. Alex is great at utilizing statistical and financial analysis to enhance efficiency, productivity and drive bottom line profitability.
Rachel is our Office Manager at SERVPRO of Calgary South. She has over 10 year experience and has obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.). Rachel is a great asset to our team bringing a strong level of professionalism and her ability to handle any situation. In our industry these skills are very important.
Nadia, one of our Client Engagement Specialists, has been apart of the SERVPRO team since March 2016. During her years as a working professional she has explored the worlds of Video Audio Services for college football in the United States and since then has worked in digital media marketing and sales. These experiences have equipped her with the necessary knowledge to provide quality problem-solving solutions, a vast comprehensive knowledge of sales, and an eagerness to provide only the best customer service experience.
Julie, one of our Client Engagement Specialists, is pleased to have joined the SERVPRO of Calgary South team in March 2019. She comes with 12 years experience as a Business Development Manager with one of Western Canada’s largest insurance brokerages in various capacities ranging from large commercial, online portals & specialty programs. For 8 years prior to that Julie was in various BD, sales & marketing roles in the medical products field and the lighting industry, so she is looking forward to bringing her client relationship skills & varied experience to the table and help keep SERVPRO ahead of the game in Alberta & Western Canada
